Institution: Spot trading sell pressure weighs on low-end resources; prices for low-capacity DDR4 memory modules fall by more than 20%

On March 31, CFM Flash Market released a report stating that due to excessive price increases in the early stages, channel customers are increasingly resistant to high-priced storage products, making actual market transactions difficult. On the spot trading side, to recover funds and realize profits, there has been significant selling of low-end DDR4 memory modules, further impacting and suppressing the channel market. This week, channel DDR4 memory modules led the decline, especially the 8GB/16GB DDR4 modules, with prices dropping as much as 25%, while other capacities saw declines around 10%. Channel SSDs also experienced slight decreases. Compared to the first quarter of this year, the contract prices for OEM server and PC NAND, DRAM have doubled. It is expected that in the second quarter, mobile contract prices will see a substantial rebound, with server and PC DRAM contract prices increasing by over 30%. The average selling prices of eSSD and cSSD are projected to rise by more than 30% and 50%, respectively. (People’s Financial News)
