U.S. Spot Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) Recorded Net Outflows on April 8th.
U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs Experienced Net Outflows Amidst Dispute Over IBIT Contribution Rate
By Diego Martinez
U.S. Bitcoin ETFs closed on Wednesday (Eastern Time) with approximately $125 million in net withdrawals, and confusion surrounding the BlackRock IBIT fund due to conflicting office talks about the fund led to selling pressure that day.
Key Points
On April 8th (Eastern Time), U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net flow of -$124.5 million.
The same Farside analysis shows IBIT achieved +$40.4 million, while FBTC recorded -$79.1 million and ARKB recorded -$74.7 million.
One unconfirmed report indicated that IBIT led the outflows, but the main table for the session shows the opposite trend for IBIT.
