The US dollar index rose on the 18th. The dollar index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, increased by 0.52% on the same day, closing at 100.09 in the foreign exchange market. By the end of trading in New York, 1 euro was exchanged for 1.15 dollars, below the previous trading day’s 1.15 dollars; 1 British pound was exchanged for 1.33 dollars, below the previous day’s 1.34 dollars. 1 US dollar was exchanged for 159.41 Japanese yen, up from 159 yen the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 0.7902 Swiss francs, up from 0.7847 Swiss francs the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 1.37 Canadian dollars, unchanged from the previous day; 1 US dollar was exchanged for 9.33 Swedish kronor, up from 9.27 Swedish kronor the previous day.
