All three major U.S. stock indices closed lower, with Tesla falling more than 3%

On March 12th, local time, the three major U.S. stock indices all closed lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1.56%, the S&P 500 index down 1.52%, and the Nasdaq down 1.78%. Goldman Sachs Group and Boeing fell by more than 4%, leading the declines in the Dow. Tesla fell by more than 3%, and Facebook dropped by more than 2%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index fell by 1.02%, while Hesai Technology and CenturyLink Internet fell by more than 5%.

By the close, the Dow fell 1.56% to 46677.85 points, the S&P 500 index fell 1.52% to 6672.62 points, and the Nasdaq fell 1.78% to 22311.98 points.
