Senior living provider Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE:BKD) will be announcing earnings results this Wednesday after market close. Here’s what to expect.
Brookdale missed analysts’ revenue expectations by 1.7% last quarter, reporting revenues of $813.2 million, up 3.7% year on year. It was a softer quarter for the company, with a significant miss of analysts’ EPS estimates and a miss of analysts’ revenue estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting Brookdale’s revenue to decline 1.8% year on year to $767 million, a reversal from the 3.5% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted loss is expected to come in at -$0.18 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings.
Looking at Brookdale’s peers in the healthcare providers & services segment, some have already reported their Q4 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. DaVita delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 9.9%, beating analysts’ expectations by 3.2%, and Quest reported revenues up 7.1%, topping estimates by 1.9%. DaVita traded up 21.2% following the results while Quest was also up 9.4%.

The euphoria surrounding Trump’s November win lit a fire under major indices, but potential tariffs have caused the market to do a 180 in 2025. Brookdale is up 36.4% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $19 (compared to the current share price of $16.51).
