Mars Finance News, April 10 — Petroleum Engineering Construction Company and Petroleum Engineering Design Company signed an agreement with Shanghai Hailan Cloud Technology Co., Ltd., the world’s first commercial submarine data center service provider, on April 7, officially launching China’s first submarine data center project designed by Sinopec. The project innovatively constructs a “Offshore Wind Power + Submarine Computing Power” collaborative model, relying on direct power supply from offshore wind farms to significantly reduce long-distance power transmission losses; at the same time, it utilizes natural ocean cooling sources through heat exchange technology on the exterior of data modules to achieve efficient cooling, eliminating the need for freshwater consumption throughout the process, thus realizing a win-win situation for energy efficiency and ecological environmental protection.
