Guangguan Power: Cumulative electricity generation in the first quarter reached 11.1B kWh, a year-on-year increase of 49.05%

People’s Financial News, April 8 — Crown Power ( 600236 ) announced on April 8 that by March 31, 2026, the company’s directly affiliated and holding companies’ power plants had a total electricity generation of 11.1B kWh in the first quarter of 2026, an increase of 49.05% year-on-year.
The main reasons for the change in the company’s electricity generation in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year are:
First, at the beginning of 2026, the water levels of major reservoirs (including Longtan) in the upper reaches of the Hongshui River, the company’s main power generation basin, were relatively high, with more water stored and a larger water supply for power generation, resulting in 30-40% more than the same period last year, and a year-on-year increase in power generation;
Second, the company’s new energy installed capacity increased, and new energy power generation grew year-on-year;
Third, due to the increasing installed capacity in Guangxi and the rising proportion of new energy installations, the space for thermal power generation was squeezed, and the average utilization hours of thermal power across Guangxi significantly declined year-on-year.
