Abstract generation in progress

Recently, there were reports that during this year’s Qingming Festival, Zong Fuli proactively invited her half-brothers and sisters, Zong Jichang and Zong Jieli, to meet, signaling a gesture of “reconciliation.” The reports also stated that Zong Fuli invited her siblings to jointly acquire shares of Wahaha owned by Shangcheng Cultural Tourism. Previously, Zong Fuli had tense relations with Zong Jichang and others. In July 2025, according to media reports, Zong Jichang, Zong Jieli, and Zong Jisheng filed lawsuits in Hong Kong and Hangzhou, claiming rights to trust funds worth $700 million each, as the half-siblings of Zong Fuli. The plaintiffs stated that these funds were promised to be established by Zong Qinghou during his lifetime. Zong Qinghou had instructed subordinates to set up a trust through HSBC in Hong Kong, with the account balance around $1.8 billion in early 2024. In this regard, an insider told reporters that the news was completely false and unfounded. He also stated that the lawsuit filed by Zong Jichang and others against Zong Fuli is still ongoing.
