Minmetals Futures: Aluminum prices are expected to remain relatively strong in the short term

There is a risk of escalation in Middle Eastern conflicts, and the safety of passage through the Strait of Hormuz remains highly uncertain. Concerns over disruptions to energy supplies in the Middle East have increased, and the threat to overseas aluminum supply remains significant. Low overseas inventories and strong spot prices are expected to continue. Domestic downstream operating rates continue to rise, aluminum water ratios return to relatively normal levels, and large import losses support domestic prices. In the short term, aluminum prices are expected to remain relatively strong. (Minmetals Futures)
