According to CCTV News, on March 13, Apple announced an announcement to reduce its commission rates, as follows:

Based on communications with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will adjust the App Store in China.

Effective March 15, 2026, the commission rates for iOS and iPadOS applicable to the Mainland China App Store will be adjusted.

The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps on Apple will be reduced from the current 30% to 25%. The commission rates for eligible Apple in-app purchases under the App Store Small Business Program and the Mini Apps Partner Program, as well as the commission rate for automatically renewed subscriptions after the first year, will be reduced from the current 15% to 12%.

Developers will not need to sign new terms in advance in order to benefit from these adjusted commission rates starting March 15.

We are committed to building iOS and iPadOS into the best app ecosystem and a huge business opportunity for developers in China. We pledge to keep the terms for all developers fair and transparent, and to always offer competitive App Store rates to developers distributing apps in China, without exceeding the overall fee levels in other markets.
