French military sources deny restrictions on U.S. military aircraft flying over their airspace.
On March 31 local time, a French military source stated that France has not restricted U.S. military planes from flying over its airspace.
The source said that there have been no changes to the current arrangements.
According to existing regulations, only aircraft conducting logistical transport missions are allowed to land in France, mainly using the Istres and Avord air force bases.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that France had banned U.S. aircraft carrying military equipment heading to Israel from flying over French airspace, and criticized France for “lack of cooperation” on the issue. (CCTV News)
