On the 7th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the nationwide school reopening plan submitted by the Ministry of Education. According to the plan, starting from the 12th of this month, and contingent upon security assessments by the Israel Defense Forces’ rear command, schools across the country will implement a flexible partial reopening. Due to the impact of the US-Israel-Iran conflict, approximately 2.5 million students across Israel have been staying at home for five weeks. The reopening plan clearly states that the education system will adopt a rotating teaching model combining online and offline instruction, with the proportion of students returning to school each time controlled between 30% and 50%. The Israeli Ministry of Education emphasized that in most areas with a high risk of missile attacks, teaching activities must be conducted inside bomb shelters; whereas in low-risk areas such as communities near the Gaza border, Arava, and the West Bank, classes can be held in venues close to shelter facilities.
