Journalist: On the 13th, it was learned from Apple’s developer official website that, following communication with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will reduce the commission rate for mobile phones and tablets operating systems within the Chinese App Store.

The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps on Apple will be reduced from the current 30% to 25%. The commission rate for in-app purchases under the Apple Small Business Program and the Mini Apps Partner Program, as well as the automatic renewal subscription commission rate after the first year for eligible apps, will be reduced from the current 15% to 12%.

It is reported that this adjustment to the commission rate will take effect from March 15, 2026, without requiring developers to re-sign any terms.

Apple stated that it commits to maintaining fair and transparent terms for all developers and will always provide a competitive App Store fee rate that is not higher than the overall rate levels in other markets for developers distributing apps in China.
