American aircraft carrier, breaking news! Just now, Iran has spoken out about the ceasefire agreement!
Latest news on the Iran situation!
According to Xinhua News Agency, citing the Iranian Student News Agency on the 25th, regarding reports that the U.S. has proposed a ceasefire agreement to Iran, Chairman of the Iranian Government Information Committee Hazratli said, “The enemy has listed wishes they cannot achieve through attack.” The 15 points of the ceasefire proposal from the U.S. are another lie by President Trump, “ignore it.”
Influenced by rumors of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, European and American stock markets surged across the board on the 25th. During trading, the German DAX30 index rose over 2%, the French CAC40 index rose over 1.90%, and the UK FTSE 100 index increased by more than 1.60%. U.S. stock futures also rose by over 1% during trading. As of press time, the gains of these indices have narrowed.
In the commodities market, international crude oil futures prices plummeted. Brent and WTI crude oil fell by over 6% at one point. The decline in oil prices eased market concerns about inflation and rekindled bullish enthusiasm in the stock market.
The Iranian military reported on the 25th local time that Iranian forces launched missiles to strike the U.S. aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln.”
Stock markets rally, latest updates on the Iran situation
According to Xinhua News Agency, citing the Iranian Student News Agency on the 25th, regarding reports that the U.S. has proposed a ceasefire agreement to Iran, Chairman of the Iranian Government Information Committee Hazratli said, “The enemy has listed wishes they cannot achieve through attack.” The 15 points of the ceasefire proposal from the U.S. are another lie by President Trump, “ignore it.”
Israeli Channel 12 TV reported on the 24th, citing sources, that the U.S. proposed a 15-point agreement aimed at ending the war with Iran, including Iran’s promise never to develop nuclear weapons and opening the Strait of Hormuz as a “free sea.”
According to Xinhua News Agency, U.S. President Trump said at the White House on the 24th that the U.S. and Iran are negotiating, and Iran has “agreed to permanently abandon nuclear weapons.” The day before, Trump claimed that the U.S. and Iran had engaged in dialogue. However, this statement was quickly denied by Iran.
Trump stated that the U.S. and Iran are “in negotiations,” with Secretary of State Pompeo and Vice President Pence participating alongside his son-in-law Kushner and special envoy Witkoff. He said the primary U.S. condition is that Iran “must never have nuclear weapons,” and they have “made it clear they will give up nuclear weapons forever.”
Trump also said Iran is “ready to reach an agreement.” He stated, “They (Iran) did something incredible yesterday. They gave us a gift, a priceless gift.” Trump did not specify what this “gift” was but said it was “related to oil and natural gas.”
During Wednesday’s trading, European stocks surged sharply. As of press time, the German DAX30 rose 1.51%, the French CAC40 increased 1.37%, the Euro Stoxx 50 gained 1.49%, and the UK FTSE 100 rose 1.39%. Dow futures and Nasdaq futures both rose over 1%, and S&P 500 futures increased by 0.95%.
“Market sentiment is leaning positive,” said Amélie de Lamble, senior multi-asset portfolio manager at Oriental Treasury. She noted that the market is digesting expectations of peace negotiations or a possible ceasefire. De Lamble said traders are adjusting their positions to avoid missing a potential “relief rally” (market rise due to positive news), but she also added that more convincing news is needed to sustain this trend.
Some analysts warned not to expect the war to end quickly. “It may still be too early, and we can’t expect significant drops in energy prices or a sharp weakening of the dollar this week,” wrote Chris Turner, Global Market Head at ING.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran on the 25th, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mugadam said that Iran has “not engaged in any direct or indirect negotiations” with the U.S. so far.
In an interview with the agency, Mugadam said that friendly countries have been actively consulting with Iran and the U.S. in an attempt to lay the groundwork for dialogue to “end this aggression.” However, these efforts do not mean negotiations have begun between Iran and the U.S.
He stated that Iran always hopes to resolve differences through dialogue, but after the U.S. “diplomatic betrayal,” Iran has chosen to bravely defend the country and its people against invaders.
Iran launches missiles at U.S. aircraft carrier
The Iranian military reported on the 25th local time that Iranian forces launched missiles to strike the U.S. “Abraham Lincoln” aircraft carrier. No further details were disclosed.
According to CCTV News, Iranian Navy Commander Ilani said that Iran has “strong control and dominance” over the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. He stated that Iran is continuously monitoring the movements of the U.S. “Abraham Lincoln” carrier group and that once the group enters missile range, Iran’s navy will strike.
On the 25th local time, Israeli sources reported that the Israeli military intercepted missiles launched by Iran toward central Israel. The report said Iran launched four rounds of missiles within 40 minutes. After the missile launches, air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other parts of central Israel. Israel is investigating whether Iran used cluster munitions in the attack.
Additionally, on the 25th local time, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani posted on social media that Iran is closely monitoring all U.S. movements in the region, especially troop deployments.
Larijani said, “We are closely watching all U.S. actions in the region, especially their troop deployments.” He also added, “The destruction caused by generals cannot be repaired by soldiers and will only become a sacrifice for Netanyahu’s illusions.”
On the 25th local time, the spokesperson for Iran’s Hatem Anbia Central Command called on Islamic countries via social media to establish “a security and military alliance in the Middle East without the participation of the U.S. and Israel.”
The spokesperson issued a statement saying that the U.S.'s so-called “strategic power” has become a “strategic failure,” and warned, “Do not call your failures agreements.”
