Our country's development of Southeast Asia's largest standalone photovoltaic project has been put into operation.

Today, the first phase of the largest single-site photovoltaic project in Southeast Asia developed and constructed by our country—the China General Nuclear Power Corporation’s 1 million kilowatt photovoltaic project at the Laos Northern Interconnection Clean Energy Base—has been put into operation. It is understood that this project is Laos’s first large-scale mountain photovoltaic project. After the first phase is operational, it is expected to generate an average of about 1.65 billion kWh annually, which is equivalent to saving approximately 500k tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.3 million tons.
