The cost of imported cotton is 2,742 to 3,610 yuan per ton lower than that of domestic cotton.

Within quota (tariff 1%) medium-quality imported cotton duty-paid cost is 13,287 yuan/ton, which is 3,610 yuan/ton lower than the domestic standard grade cotton price, narrowing by 394 yuan/ton compared to last week; tariff-eligible imported cotton duty-paid cost is 14,155 yuan/ton, which is 2,742 yuan/ton lower than the domestic cotton price, narrowing by 152 yuan/ton compared to last week. Due to rising crude oil prices and dry weather in the United States, foreign cotton prices have surged significantly, with the increase exceeding that of domestic cotton, leading to a narrowing of the price gap between domestic and foreign cotton.
