Techub News reports, according to Jintiao Data, the U.S. Central Command announced that U.S. Central Command forces will begin implementing a maritime blockade of all ships entering and exiting Iranian ports at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13 (today at 10 p.m. Hong Kong time).
This blockade will be enforced equally on all ships from all countries entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas (including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman).
The Central Command forces will not hinder the freedom of navigation for ships traveling to and from non-Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz.
Before the blockade begins, more information will be provided through official notices to commercial mariners.
All mariners are advised to monitor the "Maritime Notice" broadcasts and, when operating in the Gulf of Oman and the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, contact the U.S. Navy forces via Bridge-to-Bridge Channel 16.
