Guys, I just found out that you can watch Instagram stories anonymously, and it actually works quite well. It turns out the platform itself didn’t provide a built-in option, but there are a few clever methods that people have been using for a long time.
The simplest option is anonymous websites for viewing. You enter the username, and you can see public stories without logging into an account. Your name won’t appear in the list of viewers because you’re not logged in at all. By the way, many of these tools also allow you to download content if you need to save something important before the story disappears.
There’s also airplane mode—you upload the stories in the app, then turn on airplane mode and watch them offline. When you’re done, you fully close the app, and only then turn the internet back on. It doesn’t always work, but often Instagram simply doesn’t register a view if you were offline.
But honestly, the most reliable way to watch stories anonymously is to create a second account. Yes, you need to manage it, but then for sure no one will find out. It works with both public and private profiles, as long as your second account gets approved.
The main thing is not to enter your password on any websites, and to keep in mind ethics. You can download other people’s content, but distributing it without permission is not really okay. Respect people’s privacy the same way you’d want your privacy to be respected. Does anyone else use these methods?
