Trump says that if U.S. troops leave, oil prices will drop.

On March 31st local time in the afternoon, U.S. President Trump responded to reporters at the White House regarding the question “U.S. gasoline prices have surpassed $4 per gallon,” stating, “As long as the U.S. military leaves Iran, gasoline prices will drop sharply.” When pressed by reporters whether he meant “withdrawal from Iran or ending the war,” Trump said that U.S. troops “might leave within two to three weeks. If an agreement is reached with Iran, the conflict might end even earlier.” Trump also said that regime change was not “one of my initial goals.” He has only one goal: Iran must not possess nuclear weapons, “and that goal has been achieved. The U.S. military is completing the final mission.”(CCTV International News)
