During the Spring Festival travel season, Eastern Airlines transported a total of 18.15 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%.
On March 13, the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, which lasted 40 days, came to an end. China Eastern Airlines and its subsidiaries Shanghai Airlines and China United Airlines carried out a total of 124,000 passenger flights, up 0.3% year over year. They transported 18.15 million passengers in total, a 4.1% increase. During this year’s Spring Festival travel period, China Eastern operated 18 routes across 14 cities—Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Taiyuan, Chongqing, Wuhan, Hong Kong, Shenyang, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Lanzhou, and Zhuhai—with 14 domestically made aircraft, the C919.
