Hey, I just saw in the news that today there was an important march in CDMX, from the Angel of Independence to the capital’s Zócalo. Relatives of a missing military person were demanding answers from the authorities. It started around 9 in the morning, so I imagine traffic was pretty complicated in that area.
On top of that, there were blockades at several points around the city throughout the day. Early on at the South Preventive Detention Center, then at the Chamber of Deputies, passing by the School of Anthropology, various points in Iztacalco, the HSBC corporate offices on Reforma, and of course the capital’s Zócalo at dusk. There was also activity in Coyoacán. Basically, the blockades in CDMX ran from 6:30 in the morning until almost 7 in the evening.
If you live or work in the capital, this definitely affected traffic flow in those areas. The city always has something going on, but days like this are especially complicated to get around. I guess many had to adjust their routes or just wait for the streets to clear. The blockades today in CDMX left quite a bit of chaos, honestly.
