The 2026 Asia-Pacific Summit of the World Internet Conference will be held in Hong Kong.
Mars Finance News: On April 13, this morning, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Summit of the World Internet Conference was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The summit lasts for two days and carries the theme “Digital Intelligence Empowers Innovation for Development—Working Together to Build a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace.” It focuses on innovative technologies in the Asia-Pacific region, breaks through geographical boundaries, and takes global digital innovation and technology exchanges to a new level. The event was attended by Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive John Lee, heads of central agencies stationed in Hong Kong, and guests from all sectors. During the summit, an opening ceremony, a main forum, and six sub-forums will be held, covering topics such as innovative development and applications of intelligent agents, digital finance, AI security governance, intelligent and inclusive public wellbeing, intelligent digital healthcare, and the digitization and dissemination of canonical texts. At that time, political and business leaders from around the world, representatives of international organizations, and experts and scholars will gather for in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge internet topics and regional digital cooperation, jointly injecting new momentum into the development of the Asia-Pacific region and shaping new advantages. This summit is hosted by the World Internet Conference, organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, co-organized by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government and others, and supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
