On April 6, the reporter learned from the Municipal Economic Information Commission that the commission recently announced this year’s typical application scenarios for “Robotics +”, proposing to select 29 scenarios, covering manufacturing, public services, emergency response, and agriculture, among which AI elderly care medication robots and university intelligent cleaning robots are highlights as public service scenarios. In this publicized scenario list, manufacturing robot applications focus on high-end manufacturing fields such as aerospace precision explosive component assembly and automotive diesel engine valve core production. Public service areas mainly focus on livelihood services, with a number of robot application scenarios integrating into citizens’ daily lives.

For example, one of the selected scenarios, the AI elderly care medication robot, uses intelligent technology to address medication pain points for the elderly, providing 24-hour medication management for seniors living alone or in empty nests. This home robot can accurately store medicines, remind users to take medication via voice at scheduled times according to medical advice, and automatically record medication status. It also has the ability to trigger multiple warnings, promptly notifying children and community workers of potential health risks.

“With policy support, our city will accelerate the implementation and promotion of a batch of robot application scenarios,” said a person from the Municipal Economic Information Commission. They will build a supply-demand matching platform to promote cooperation between robot companies and manufacturing, elderly care, and medical institutions.

Additionally, for equipment products that are ultimately selected as “Robotics +” typical application scenarios, priority support will be given to include them in the “Chongqing Major Technical Equipment Promotion and Application Directory” under the same conditions, increasing market recognition. Among them, units that apply for key application scenarios will receive promotion rewards; districts and parks are encouraged to reward local enterprises involved in scenario promotion, aiming to create a number of intelligent robot application experience centers and testing verification centers.
