CryptoNews report: According to a report by the Financial Times, sources familiar with the matter said that the UK will not participate in the U.S.’s blockade operation of the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, late yesterday evening, Trump claimed that after the U.S.-Iran peace negotiations failed to achieve a breakthrough, the U.S. Navy would blockade the Strait of Hormuz, an important waterway. The U.S. will deploy more minesweepers to the Strait of Hormuz. NATO also “wants to come help clear the strait,” and the UK and other countries are sending minesweeper vessels as well. A UK government spokesperson said: “We continue to support freedom of navigation and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, which is essential to support the global economy and ease domestic living costs. There must be no fees charged for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. We are urgently working with France and other partners to form a broad alliance to protect freedom of navigation.”
