I just found out that Belinda's brother, Ignacio Peregrín, got into politics a few years ago haha. The guy tried to run for deputy in Mexico City in 2021 for the Green Party, but he didn't do well at the polls. He got about 51,000 votes but lost to another candidate.

The most interesting thing is that while he was campaigning, he was also working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and apparently was a partner in a cleaning company that had contracts with the government. In other words, a pretty obvious conflict of interest that even made the news.

Additionally, Ignacio Peregrín claimed in his CV that he had a law degree, but when they checked his professional license in the official records... nothing. They only found that he was studying the degree in 2019. And later, he was seen in photos dining with the former mayor of Cuauhtémoc after losing the election.

Since then, Belinda's brother has disappeared from the public scene. He hasn't tried anything in politics again. All of this is pretty strange, honestly.
