U.S. officials say Wittekov, Kushner, and Vance are expected to participate in negotiations with Iran

A chief correspondent with CCTV learned that U.S. officials, as of 7 local time, said that the Trump administration is preparing for possible negotiations between U.S. and Iranian officials in the coming days. Both sides are working to reach a long-term agreement to end the war between the U.S. and Iran. White House press secretary Leavitt said: “Discussions are currently underway on in-person talks, but nothing has been finalized before the President or the White House announces it.” It is understood that Trump’s special envoy, Wittekoff, his son-in-law Kushner, and Vice President Vance are expected to attend the negotiations, and mediators from Pakistan will also be present.
