ME News report: On April 11 (UTC+8), local time on the 11th, an Iranian source said that Iran’s set conditions for launching negotiations—including the unfreezing of Iranian frozen assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon—have not yet been met. However, earlier, an Iranian senior official said that the United States has agreed to unfreeze Iran’s “frozen assets in Qatar and the banks of other countries.” The U.S. has not yet issued any public response regarding the unfreezing of Iranian assets. Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Kalibaf said in a social media post on the 10th that two conditions must be met before negotiations begin: first, a ceasefire in Lebanon; second, the unfreezing of Iran’s frozen assets.
