After receiving the report, the public security authorities immediately launched an investigation. Upon investigation, netizen Sha (male, 31 years old) fabricated the false information that “iFlytek has filed for a 30% layoff with the government,” which caused public concern and had a negative social impact. Currently, Sha has been administratively detained by the local public security authorities in accordance with the law. The online space is not outside the law; posting information online must comply with legal regulations. For acts of fabricating and spreading false information that disrupt social order, the public security authorities will resolutely handle them according to the law; for those causing serious adverse effects, legal responsibility will be pursued. We urge all netizens not to spread rumors, believe rumors, or pass on rumors. The cyber security department of the public security authorities is willing to work with everyone to create a clean and clear online environment. (CCTV News)
