SEC approves key points of spot Ether ETF:
The Securities and Exchange Commission approved the sale of Spot Ether ETF in the United States on May 23, 2024.
This approval was issued after the Bitcoin ETF and ETP were approved in January 2024.
➪Trading will not start immediately; individual ETF registration statements still need to be approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Securities and Exchange Commission emphasized the prevention of fraud and manipulation and required a monitoring sharing protocol to be reached with the CME.
Correlation analysis shows a high correlation between CME Ether futures and the spot Ether market.
