Leading Base DEX LeetSwap (LEET) Crashes 40% Following Alleged BALD Rug Pull

It appears that things are moving particularly quickly on Base chain.

BALD token is the newest sensation on the network, and it managed to increase by over 40,000% in just a few hours. But the good times may as well be over.

Following news that the team (or person) behind BALD rug pulled, LEET, the token of the largest decentralized exchange on Base – LeetSwap, also plunged by a massive 40% in hours.

Source: CoinGecko* There’s been a couple of official announcements in the past hour on behalf of BALD. The supposed developer said:

I didn’t sell a single token at any point since deployment. Just added/removed 2 sided liquidity and bought.

The other statement is on the ability of the network to handle heavy loads.
