Bhutan has made millions of dollars from hydropower mining and has paid government salaries for two years

Gate.io According to Reuters, two senior Bhutanese officials revealed that the country has earned millions of dollars through cryptocurrency investments and has used part of the proceeds to pay government employees for two years.

Bhutan is using 100% hydroelectric power for green cryptocurrency mining. Officials are evaluating options for selling these “green coins” to large corporations that need to meet ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals in order to promote green finance.
