On February 10th, the Chinese Embassy in the United States hosted a New Year’s reception themed “Steady Progress in the Year of the Horse.” Ambassador Xie Feng delivered a speech stating that over the past year, China’s economy has advanced steadily and improved. Amid sluggish global economic growth, China’s total economic output surpassed 140 trillion yuan in 2025, with a GDP growth of 5% year-on-year. Cutting-edge technologies such as AI large models and humanoid robots are competing fiercely, the number of “Lighthouse Factories” ranks first worldwide, and China has entered the top ten in the Global Innovation Index for the first time. China promotes global development through openness, hosting events like the China International Consumer Products Expo, Canton Fair, China International Fair for Trade in Services, and China International Import Expo, launching the Hainan Free Trade Port’s customs clearance, expanding its visa-free “circle of friends,” and implementing “zero tariffs” for the least developed countries. China has become a major trading partner for over 150 countries and regions, opening its arms to share opportunities with the world and continuously remaining the most stable and reliable engine for global growth.
