Gate launches Layer 2 network and upgrades GT Token mechanism
PANews, September 25 - According to CoinDesk, Gate exchange announced the launch of Gate Layer, a Layer 2 blockchain built on the OP Stack and compatible with Ethereum. The official upgrade of the GT (GateToken) mechanism has been synchronized, with GT serving as the only Gas token for Gate Layer and continuing the dual destruction model. So far, over 180 million GT have been destroyed, accounting for about 60% of the initial supply. Gate Layer is positioned as the foundational infrastructure for the “All in Web3” strategy, supporting applications including the Perpetual Futures center Perp, the no-code incubator Gate Fun, and the cross-chain meme tracking tool Meme Go.
