Feels like the market is in a holding pattern waiting for some bullish news $BTC $ETH

Daily candle just printed. $ETH 12H and 1D are the only timeframes that show BB compression progress 12H already in an extreme squeeze 1D in a low squeeze but it could hit extreme by Monday or Tuesday next week

$BTC 1H BB in a low squeeze, although it’s not much on its own

$BTC BB update: 2D - low squeeze 3D / 4D - extreme squeeze Everything else is ‘normal,’ meaning no squeeze or compression

$ETH BB update: 4H / 6H / 1D - low BB squeeze 12H / 2D / 3D / 4D - extreme BB squeeze

$ETH was getting hammered with spot sells for the last 24 hours. 50k~ net taker ETH spot sells so far OI has unwound $BTC, on the other hand, is holding up a lot better. There’s been spot selling but nowhere near as heavily.

$ETH 4H BB might start squeezing again soon due to how quickly price retraced the move up. You can see the bands curling inward

Seeing a few posts claiming $ETH supply on exchanges is dropping but I’m seeing the opposite 247k ETH deposited to exchanges on the 22nd of April

So $ETH has a BB squeeze on 12H, 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D timeframes but I put less importance on the 5D.

$ETH 12H BB is finally in its first extreme squeeze of 2026. Last extreme squeeze was in December 2025! It’s only had a couple of low squeezes since then, so this is a relatively big signal.

On the flip side, $ETH 12H BB has compressed to a low squeeze. Interestingly 12H BB has only squeezed one other time since dropping to this range in early Feb but it’s Thursday, so I don’t think it’ll hit extreme squeeze by the weekend, unfortunately.

Update $ETH: both the 2H and 4H BBs have been reset with that move up. An uneventful, low volatility move. But a good example of using BB squeezes for trades

$ETH 2H BB has been partially reset to a low squeeze. 4H BB unchanged but could expand with the next candle print in 30mins I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get continuation up.

The last time $ETH 2H BB squeezed this much was the 5th of April
